Retratos de Norte y Sur: A Celebration of Latin Jazz

About THE ALBUM
I am thrilled to share with you my latest Latin Jazz Big Band Album Retratos de Norte y Sur.
This is a big band album that I did for Audio Network, which is one of the biggest musical libraries in the world, and my album is now available to their clients for use in film, television, and other media. This is a great opportunity for my music to be heard by a wider audience, and I am excited to see how it is used.
This album celebrates the rich and diverse musical traditions of Latin America combined with the intensity and richness of the classic big band sound. It features a wide range of styles and rhythms, from traditional Latin jazz, Brazilian and afro-cuban influence to more contemporary and experimental sounds. The album features a cast of some of the best session musicians in Los Angeles and phenomenal horn players from the UK. The best of 2 worlds!
This album also represents a different take on the regular big band tracks, since the songs are a lot shorter because of the library usage, focusing on the composition itself and making the listener want to repeat the track again!
Midnight Race is a high-energy instrumental track that showcases the virtuosic playing of the big band. It is a complex and challenging piece of music, but it is also incredibly fun to listen to.
I am incredibly proud of this album and I believe that it represents the best of Latin jazz today. I hope that you will take the time to listen to it and consider it for your GRAMMY nominations.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Lorenzo Ferrero
